Information for clients
Answers to recurring questions: how the fee is set, how documents and communication are protected, what I am liable for and how I handle personal data.
Fee
I set my fee under the Act on the Legal Profession and Decree No. 655/2004 Coll. on attorneys' fees and expenses. It can be a tariff fee, or a fee agreed in the contract as hourly or flat.
The amount is always stated in the legal services agreement. Third-party costs, for example administrative fees, are shown separately. Details are on the Fees page.
Protection of documents and communication
Everything I learn in the course of practising law is covered by the duty of confidentiality under section 23 of Act No. 586/2003 Coll. The duty continues after the cooperation ends.
I protect the documents you send me technically and organisationally:
- files are kept in non-public storage and are made available only for a short time,
- personal identification numbers, document numbers and bank account numbers are stored encrypted,
- access to documents is protected by sign-in and every opening of a document is logged,
- an agent signs in with a one-time code received by email and downloads the finished documents after signing in.
Liability
I am liable for damage I cause in the course of practising law under the Act on the Legal Profession. The Act requires me to hold liability insurance for this purpose.
The cadastral office decides on registration in the real estate cadastre. I prepare and file the application, but I cannot influence the outcome of the proceedings.
Personal data
I process personal data only for the purpose for which you give it to me: replying to a message, providing a legal service and meeting the obligations the law places on me.
Which data I process, to whom I disclose it, how long I keep it and what rights you have are set out in the privacy policy.
